very cherry forward

i did not love the smell right out of the box. for me the cherry came through very heavy and almost sickly sweet, akin to cough syrup, not fresh and tart. that's not at all what i was expecting and is not a smell i enjoy, even in the best formulations. given the other reviews and the description, i was hoping for a smokey, vanilla heavy, pipe tobacco scent. i burned it anyways after debating for a while if i should, seeing as i won't be able to return it now that i've used it. was waiting for the vanilla and tobacco to come through more in the burn, and i was let down. the initial smell once it started burning was still cherry, albeit a little softer. i left it in my bathroom with the door closed for 10 minutes to see if the general scent throw comes off as more vanilla or tobacco, and i was sadly disappointed. walking into the room i was hit by a wall of cough syrup.
not very happy with this purchase, i personally don't even get a hint of vanilla, tobacco or sandalwood, all of which are some of my favourite scents. the cherry is just too overpowering. though to be fair the description does speak to the cherry note. since i can't return it i guess i'll have to find someone who's into that smell...
this was a blind buy based off of reviews so if there's anyone else out there considering it, if you like cherry you'll probably love this candle cause its smooth and has a decent throw. but in my opinion it should have cherry in the name given how heavy it is featured!

Best tobacco vanilla candle ever

Ive tried many flavours of other brands and this one smells the best, throws well and burns clean

Scentimental

This scent is reminiscent of my childhood - tobacco shops, my dad's pipe before it was lit. It's soft and warm; comforting. Makes me want to put on a silk robe and read a book by the fire. I love it.

I thought it was really expensive but the build of the candle convinced me that the price was worth the money. I have never owned a wood wick candle before but it feels and sounds like a little fireplace! Perfect for the winter. I love the smell but the throw is a bit weak. I appreciate the Rosebud sample and will be buying it soon it reminds me of Starbucks.

Favourite New Scent

Not going to lie, I got the tobacco and vanilla candle scent because all my friends said that it smells like the Tom Ford Vanilla Tobacco perfume. I was not let down, this candle is fantastic! Going to buy more to stock up for the year!

candle care 101

we’re obsessed with wooden wicks (obviously) because they provide a unique & delightful experience, but because our wicks are cut from untreated wood, there may be slight variances in the thickness and grain of each wick. as a result, each candle may have a slightly different burn and may require extra maintenance. please read the below for full guidance on how to properly light and maintain your new candle:

step 1

lighting a candle

on the first burn, allow the wax to fully melt to the edge of the can, both on the first burn and consecutive ones (2-3 hours max)!

step 2

trimming a wooden wick with a mala wick trimmer

on every new burn, re-trim the wick to 1/8” the shorter height allows the wax to capillary up the wick to feed the flame properly.

step 3

snuffing the lit candle with the candle lid

do not burn the candle for longer than 2-4 hours at a time. it's time for a new candle when there is 1/2" wax remaining.
